What You'll Actually Do Inside the Major Gift Leadership Cohort
The Major Gift Leadership Cohort is an 8-week, hands-on coaching experience designed to help you become more confident and effective at building relationships that lead to major gifts.
This isn't about watching videos and hoping you can figure out how to apply what you've learned.
We'll work on your actual organization, your actual donors, and your actual opportunities.
September 10–October 29, 2026 | Limited to 15 Participants | $1,497
Assess Your Major Gift Readiness
Take an honest look at your current fundraising approach, identify what's working, uncover what's getting in the way, and determine what needs to be in place to build a sustainable major gift program.
Identify & Prioritize Your Best Prospects
Stop trying to cultivate everyone. Learn how to identify the donors and prospects with the greatest potential and determine where to focus your limited time and energy.
Discover What Matters to Your Donors
Learn how to have better donor conversations that help you understand a donor's interests, motivations, values, and connection to your mission.
Build Relationships That Lead to Major Gifts
Create meaningful engagement and cultivation strategies that move relationships forward naturally rather than rushing toward the ask.
Tell Your Mission's Story in a Way That Connects
Strengthen the way you communicate your organization's impact so donors can see the connection between what matters to them and what's possible through your mission.
Know When—and How—to Make the Ask
Learn how to recognize when a donor relationship is ready for an invitation and how to confidently ask someone to make a significant investment in your mission.
Overcome Ask Anxiety
Explore your money story—the beliefs, experiences, and messages about money you've carried with you—and how it may influence your comfort with wealthy donors, conversations about money, and significant asks. You'll work on recognizing those barriers and moving beyond them with greater confidence and authenticity.
Steward the Relationship After the Gift
A major gift isn't the finish line. Learn how meaningful stewardship can deepen the donor relationship, increase retention, and create opportunities for even greater impact over time.
This Is About More Than Fundraising. It's About Leadership.
You don't have to become a professional fundraiser. But as an Executive Director, CEO, or nonprofit leader, you do need to become comfortable leading major gift fundraising.
That means building authentic donor relationships, having meaningful conversations about money and impact, confidently inviting people to invest in your mission, and leading others in your organization to support that work.
That's why this is called the Major Gift Leadership Cohort.
We're not simply building your fundraising skills. We're developing you as a major gift leader.
Reserve My SeatLearn It. Apply It. Get Coached On It.
Each week combines focused video curriculum with practical implementation and live coaching.
You'll learn the strategy, apply it to your organization, and then bring your questions, challenges, donors, and opportunities into our live sessions.
So instead of asking, “How would this work at my organization?” you'll be working through that question with me—and with a small cohort of nonprofit leaders facing many of the same challenges.
This is what makes the Major Gift Leadership Cohort different from simply taking another fundraising course.
You won't just consume the information. You'll put it to work.
What I Want You to Leave With
At the end of eight weeks, I don't want you to simply know more about major gifts. I want you to leave with:
- A clearer major gift strategy for your organization
- Your highest-potential donors and prospects identified and prioritized
- Stronger donor relationships already being cultivated
- Clear next steps for moving your best opportunities forward
- Greater confidence having conversations about money and impact
- A more authentic, comfortable approach to making the ask
- A repeatable relationship fundraising practice you can continue using long after the cohort ends
Most importantly, I want you to leave seeing yourself differently:
Not as a nonprofit leader who also has to fundraise—but as the major gift leader your mission needs.
A Cohort That Moves Together
Your cohort experience opens August 31. That day, you’ll receive access to your Welcome and Orientation materials, complete your pre-cohort assessment, and enter the private Major Gift Leadership Cohort community to meet fellow participants and begin connecting. There is no curriculum assignment yet.
The cohort officially begins with our first live session on September 10, focused on connection, group building, and live coaching. Module 1 releases one hour after that session. Each subsequent module opens one hour after the weekly live session ends, creating a consistent rhythm of implementation, coaching, and reflection.
Ready to Become the Major Gift Leader Your Mission Needs?
For eight weeks, you'll have a clear curriculum, practical assignments, live coaching, a community of fellow nonprofit leaders, and my support as you put relationship fundraising into practice at your organization.
The inaugural cohort runs September 10–October 29, 2026.
Enrollment is intentionally limited to 15 participants so I can provide meaningful coaching, interaction, and feedback throughout the experience.
Your Investment: $1,497
If you're ready to stop putting major gifts on the someday list and start building the relationships that can transform your mission, I'd love to work with you this fall.
